Our Practices
Producing maple syrup is a longtime tradition of collecting sap from maple trees and cooking it down until it becomes syrup. Each spring we tap approximately 16,500 trees. Each tap is connected to a pipeline that allows the sap to run into the sugar house. The sap is collected in one of two 10,000 gallon collection tanks and then run through our evaporator, boiling off the water, leaving us with pure, all natural maple syrup. It takes approximately 60 gallons of sap to make 1 gallon of syrup. Our sugar camp yields an average of 3,000-4,000 gallons a year.
We also enjoy experimenting and adding different infusions to our syrup, as well as other maple products.
